Maud Skoog – Original Oil Paintings
Maud Skoog’s folk art painting on wood led her to her favorite medium, oils on canvas. Her camera is in frequent use during her hiking trips in Ontario & Sweden, providing Maud with many ideas for her oil originals. The colourful sunsets over Cameron Lake, seen from her studio and sundeck, influence her paintings as well.
She has spent weeks at Haliburton School of Fine Art taking lessons from painters like Pauline Holancin, John Leonard and John Anderson as well as Edwin Matthews and Mary Lampman at Gallery on the Lake in Buckhorn.
You can see Maud’s work at different locations in Fenelon falls as well as the Station Gallery & her home by appointment.
