Facebook/Instagram Entries

We need two social media entries to use for Facebook/Instagram to encourage people to see the gallery and your art.  We’ve made it easy for you, and you can fill in the text and add pictures below.  Please write them in the third person.  (Bob works in.., she/he does this)  We list some ideas below to get you thinking and if you think of any other ideas, feel free to enter again. Please upload images to the blog section.

Thank you!

The image/file types accepted are jpg, jpeg, png, pdf and docx.  If your images or documents are another format, please let Janet or Mary know and we will help with that.

Ideas to write about:
  • What started you down the path to your particular art form.
  • How do you set up for a show? (image of set up perhaps)
  • What is your favourite tool that you use.
  • demonstration of a project or commission. (how it comes together)
  • Celebrating small wins with your art.
  • Share some guilty pleasures. (what you love most about the art you make)
  • What was the most valuable thing you learned in art school? How has it helped you (if you went)
  • Who is your mentor and what did they teach you?
  • Why do you create art?
  • What is your favourite piece you’ve created?
  • Why do you work in the medium that you do?
  • Where do you create your art?  In the spare room, a studio, the garage.  People are fascinated by the spaces artists work in.  Include a picture of your space, with or without you in it (if you are shy).
Please type your 1st post into this box. You can cut and paste.
Please type or paste your second blog/facebook post here.
What would you demonstrate? While we are not going to match it up to days you are working, it would be a nice touch if people knew that when you are in the gallery, you may be working on some art.
Please name images (social media 1 or 2) and refer to which ones go to which social media post in your text.
