The gallery looks beautiful with all of our new work. We are open again this weekend and look forward to seeing visitors. Here is a sneak peek of what we have in store when you visit. Click on any image to see the larger/up close version.

We just had our first meeting of 2015, and we are all looking forward to opening the Gallery in May. We will have some new members this year, and some new and different kinds of art.
There will be more on this at a later date. We have actually had a sign if spring this week, and some of the snow has started to melt. Everyone is thankful about that.
It has been a long and cold winter, (coldest since records have been kept) so spring is a very welcome arrival. Summer will be even better.
We have our dates for the opening of the gallery for 2013. We will be opening our doors on Saturday May 18th (Victoria Day Weekend) from 10 – 5pm each day, and then closing this year on September 29th.
That gives you lots of time to visit and shop! Stay tuned for new artists this year.
Betty Wilkinson, a founding member of the Fenelon Station Gallery died peacefully on December 25th, at Ross Memorial Hospital. Betty, a local resident of Rosedale and fiber artist enjoyed working with natural fibers to create classic household articles and apparel using heritage skills. As a spinner, weaver, knitter, rug hooker and instructor, she often used hand spun yarns to create her works of art. She enjoyed discussing the historical significance of these skills and demonstrating how spinning wheels and looms are operated.
Betty will be greatly missed by the Art Community and the numerous friends and associates she has made during her active life.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 5th, at Christ Church of Coboconk at 1 p.m.

On September 1st, we had this year’s draw. Each year we ask visitors to fill out a ballot and near the end of the season, we draw a name to receive a prize of art in the gallery.
Sandi Smith of Stouffville, was a visitor on the day and she pulled the winning ticket from this year’s draw.
Congratulations to the winner of the Station’s $100 Gift Certificate…Carole Wetheral of Cannington.
Carole came with her husband Bill and chose a few pieces of art to take home. She spent about an hour in the gallery, trying to narrow down the art she wanted to buy. In the end, she chose two of Peter Martin’s sculptures and a necklace and earring set made by Janet Tysiak. She was very happy to have won the prize and we are very pleased for her as well.
